Basic Control for the Viscous Moore--Greitzer Partial Differential Equation

چکیده
The notions of basic controllability and basic control are deened. A quadratic optimal control of the linearized viscous Moore-Greitzer equation is presented and it is connrmed that stall is uncontrollable in this model. A basic control is constructed for the nonlinear viscous Moore-Greitzer equation which can control both surge and stall. Some extensions of this construction are discussed. Numerical simulations of the basic control are presented and its performance is compared to the performance of a backstepping control constructed by Banaszuk et al. 2]. It is shown that the viscous Moore-Greizer equation with throttle control is not basically control-lable, but under certain conditions, adding air injection control will make the equation basically controllable.

Derivation of the Viscous Moore-Greitzer Equation for Aeroengine Flow
The viscous Moore-Greitzer equation modeling the airflow through the compression system in turbomachines, such as a jet engine, is derived using a scaled Navier-Stokes equation. The method utilizes a separation of scales argument, based on the different spatial scales in the engine and the different time scales in the flow. The pitch and size of the rotor-stator pair of blades provides a small ...
متن کاملThe use of radial basis functions by variable shape parameter for solving partial differential equations
In this paper, some meshless methods based on the local Newton basis functions are used to solve some time dependent partial differential equations. For stability reasons, used variably scaled radial kernels for constructing Newton basis functions. In continuation, with considering presented basis functions as trial functions, approximated solution functions in the event of spatial variable wit...

The system of coupled viscous Burgers’ equation is a simple model of sedimentation or evolution of scaled volume concentrations of two kinds of particles in fluid suspensions or colloids under the effect of gravity. Coupled Burgers’ equation can be written in the follow...

In this paper, we present a comparative study between the modified variational iteration method (MVIM) and a hybrid of Fourier transform and variational iteration method (FTVIM). The study outlines the efficiencyand convergence of the two methods. The analysis is illustrated by investigating four singular partial differential equations with variable coefficients. The solution of singular partia...

Boundary Layer Flow past a stretching surface with constant wall temperature, of a nanofluid is studied for heat transfer characteristics. The system of partial differential equations describing such a flow is subjected to similarity transformations gives rise to a boundary value problem involving a system of ordinary differential equations. This system is solved by a shooting method. Effect of...
